Sherry has lived with her family in a sealed bunker since things went wrong up above. But when they run out of food, Sherry and her dad must venture outside. There they find a world of devastation, desolation...and the Weepers: savage, mutant killers.

A New Year!

Happy New Year!

2012 will be the year of the Apocalypsies. I can’t tell you how excited I am about all of their books. And of course about my own book, The Other Life. In only 24 days it’ll hit the shelves in the UK. I can’t tell you how excited that makes me.

Anyway.

I wanted to use this post to write down a few resolutions for this year.

-         write two books

-         read a minimum of 80 books and at least half of them Apocalypsies books. (The books from established authors I’m most looking forward to are: Insurgent by Veronica Roth, Daughter of Bone and Smoke 2 by Laini Taylor, Body and Soul by Stacey Kade, Spellbound by Rachel Hawkins, Timeless by Gail Carriger)

-         eat less meat (only once a week)

-         work out on my elliptical every day. The last few days I managed to do this and it makes me feel so much better!

-         Have more patience (not sure how well this will work out but I’ll try my best...)

Btw, I’m one of the new members of The League of Extraordinary Writers. Here’s my intro post.

Do you have resolutions for 2012?

Help Write Now Auction!

I'm sure you've all heard about the Help Write Now Auction that is taking place at the moment.

I want to point out two special items you can bid for:

1. A prize pack from the GotYA girls. We're offering 50 page manuscript critique + a query critique + a 10 page manuscript critique from Claudia Gabel, editor of Katherine Tegen Books, an imprint of Harper Collins + books.
Doesn't that sound awesome??? You can still bid for it!

2. Apocalypsies package! What's offered: A 50 page crit from 5 Apocalypsies + a query crit from 5 Apocalypsies + a synopsis crit from 4 Apocalypsies + an ARC of STARCROSSED + a 10 page manuscript crit from editor Stacy Cantor Abrams (Walker Books).
Amazing, right? You should hurry because there isn't much time left to bid!

Apocalypsies interviews!

Something you don't want to miss!

The Apocalypsies (2012 Debut authors) will be interviewing the Elevensies (2011 Debut Authors) all through the year! The first interview with Maurissa Guibord, author of WARPED, is now up on the Apocalypsies blog.

So go read it and leave a comment!

Blog recommendations!

I have two must-follow blogs for you:

GotYA - a group of agented and unagented writers who blog about everything YA! I'm a new contributor. So exciting!! :D

The Apocalypsies - a group of writers who'll debut in 2012. I'm a member, though I still can't believe it!

Btw, I saw Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on Wednesday. AMAZING! Can't wait for Part II! Did you see it yet? Did you love it?
