You've read a lot of good books this year, including one of my faves, The Forest of Hands and Teeth. I got Matched for Christmas, so I'll be devouring that shortly. :)
That's an impressive list - I'm lucky if I find the time to read even a fraction of that!
So which were your favourites? What would you recommend the most?
@Kate If you like Adult Urban fantasy I'd recommend the Mercy Thompson series. Bone Crossed from the series was my favorite adult read this year.
YA books I absolutely loved: The Darkest Powers series by Kelley Armstrong, The Hunger Games (of course!) by Suzanne Collins and Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins.
Books that really surprised me and would be good books for boys are Mortal Engines and Airborn.
But I loved so many of those books! :D
The Help. Have you read it? Amazing, heartbreaking, beautiful, funny, amazing. Your website looks great, by the way!
oooh, so many good ones to add to my TBR pile! we also read some of the same books this year! :)
Ooh, great list! I'm impressed!
Do you think you read the YA books thoroughly - or is it more for research on what's out there? How much do you think reading other people's books influences your writing? Sorry - this is turning into an interview! Been reading with interest about your book and deals.
