IMPOSTOR in the UK!

As I mentioned before, Impostor will be published in the UK by Hodder (Hachette) and now I can finally share the official cover with you:

I love it! It reflects the book perfectly. You can see Tessa and the girl whose place she has to take (the latest serial killer victim). And I especially adore the rose pendant around the girl's neck since it's an important part of the book.
The book will be published January 2nd, 2014! Less than five months to go! I can't wait!

The Weepers in Germany!

Today The Other Life hits shelves in Germany!
It's called The Weepers - Und sie werden dich finden and the publisher is Heyne/Random House!

I'm so excited to see it in stores around here!

German cover!

I returned from a two week England vacation yesterday and I'll post a few lovely photos from it tomorrow or Friday. If you don't want to wait that long, you can check out my post on the League blog where I posted about my trip to the Harry Potter studios.
BUT for now:
The German cover of The Other Life!

I think my German pub Heyne/Random House captured the mood of the book very well. So deliciously creepy! It comes out in January/February 2013 in Germany.
What do you think?

Good News!

Sorry for the long silence! I've been busy writing. I finished two first drafts in the last two weeks. One is the draft for the sequel to THE OTHER LIFE and the other is a secret project (nicknamed ALOMF).
BUT that's not the good news I wanted to tell you.
Here it is (from Publishers Marketplace):

Rights to Susanne Winnacker's THE OTHER LIFE, to Anja Schleicher at Heyne in Germany, in a two-book deal, at auction, and to Fernando Baracchini at Novo Conceito in Brazil, by Alex Webb at Rights People on behalf of Julia Churchill at Greenhouse Literary Agency.

THE OTHER LIFE goes international!

Brazil and Germany. *happydance*

Maybe I should start learning Portuguese and plan a visit to Brazil!

I don't need to plan a trip to Germany nor do I have to learn the language.

I live in Germany and German is my first language and my family doesn't speak English well enough to read my books in English, so it was very important for me that my book would be translated into German.

And Heyne? They are part of Random House and a fabulous publisher. They publish writers like Stephen King, John Grisham, Patricia Briggs (who writes the Mercy Thompson series that I loooove) and Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series.

Long story short: I couldn't be happier.
